Jordan Participates in Meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States

Al-Taj News – Jordan’s Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Amjad Al-Adailah, on Saturday headed the Jordanian delegation participating in the meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of permanent representatives, during the Council’s 166th session, chaired by the Republic of Tunisia.

During the discussions held at the meeting, Ambassador Al-Adailah presented Jordan’s position on the issues on the session’s agenda, reaffirming the Kingdom’s support for just Arab causes, foremost among them the Palestinian cause, and highlighting Jordan’s efforts at the political, diplomatic, legal, and humanitarian levels in support of the Palestinian cause and the brotherly Palestinian people.

In this context, the Council of the League of Arab States welcomed Jordan’s hosting of the ministerial meeting in support of Jerusalem and its holy sites on August 5 in Amman, which aimed to confront the illegal Israeli policies and measures in the city of Jerusalem, while the Council affirmed the importance of following up on the implementation of the recommendations and outcomes of the “Amman Declaration” issued by the meeting.

Ambassador Al-Adailah highlighted the Kingdom’s active role, alongside member states, in reaching decisions and recommendations that would strengthen the Arab position and reinforce the bonds of collective coordination and cooperation, aimed at strengthening Arab capabilities in addressing the current challenges and the state of instability affecting the region as a result of the war and the circumstances resulting from it and its security and economic repercussions, in addition to rejecting attacks on the territories and sovereignty of Arab states and rejecting any interference in Arab affairs.
